Dive into the nearest garbage can and
recycling box or scour the alleyways! Troy is
looking for creative minded, experimental
fashion forward artists to create runway looks
from the couture to the everyday out of items
headed for the landfill. Try your hand and sewing
machine at making a can of trash into a fashion plate!
Enter Troy’s Annual Trashion show and help keep art
alive in Troy! This annual show benefits Fulton Street
Gallery; an offshoot of the non-profits arts
organization Broadway Gallery Membership Group
founded in 1994. Troy has been the home of this
organization since it made it’s way to Fulton Street in
1997. Director Colleen Skiff and supporting members
have made a significant mark in Troy, most recently
through Re-Arting Troy 2009, a multifaceted
culmination of art all over the city. With the recent
economic downturn times are tough and business is
slow, but we do not want to close another gallery in
Troy! Show your support by being the show Saturday
June 19th following River Street Festival!
