SUBMISSION Drop-off: November 23, 10 am to noon and November 25, 3 to 7 pm.

SHIPPED WORK: If you can not hand delivered your work and wish to ship it, you may have your work pre-curated by sending j-pegs to  fultonstreetgallery@gmail.com. by November 15. Work must still arrive at FSG by the installing date, November 26, 2008.

ELIGIBILITY

 Artists wishing to exhibit in the Members show and/or have artwork in the Members Shop, must  first join Fulton Street Gallery as a Member. Click here to learn more  about membership and how to join.  All media is accepted. Video artists must supply their own equipment if selected for the exhibition. Video works must be on a continuous loop.

CRITERIA - Members will be able to submit in two categories: 

                   A. MEMBERS EXHIBITION               

Members may enter up to 5 works and are guaranteed that at least one will be accepted. Members may submit by e-mail, by mail or by drop off.   If submitted by    November 8, by e-mail or mail, you will be notified of accepted works by November 11.  Artists may also hand-deliver their works to be juried on November 22, between 3 & 5 pm or November 23 , between 10 am & noon. By 1pm on November 23, all final selections will be made, artists will be notified by phone, and non accepted work may be removed before 5 pm and also on November 24, between 6 & 8 pm.  Submitted works may not exceed 4' in any direction.  

                  B. MEMBERS SHOP

Members may enter art work and fine crafts to be considered for the members shop. Each member may submit two series of art, 10 images of each type. Please include  descriptions of each series. i.e. "Taipei Dinnerware" - influenced by the artists recent trip to Taiwan and Buddhist  Gardens. Work will be selected as  space and themes (if applicable) allow. Work will be on display for two months in the gallery and then for two month on-line. All media is eligible, including and not limited to, hand made books, clothing, cards, jewelry, woodworking, glass, paintings, pottery, photography, weaving, fibers, quilts, dvd's.... Members MUST submit images of work to be considered. Deadline for submissions is November 8. 2008. Artists will be notified by e-mail by November 11, as to which works will be accepted to the Members Shop (click here for more information about the shop.)

PROCEDURE

For both categories images must be must be supplied in j-peg or digital format. Entries may be submitted on-line through e-mail: fultonstreetgallery@gmail.com or by CD and DVD which may be mailed to FSG at 408 Fulton Street Gallery, Troy NY 12180. Each artist may submit one view of up to five recent works for Category A. MEMBERSHIP EXHIBITION and 10 images for each series ( maximum two) in Category B. MEMBERS SHOP. Sculptors may submit two views of each work. Images must represent work available for this exhibition. E-mail will be used for notification of acceptance. Please include it when entering.

TECHNICAL INSTRUCTIONS

Do not submit images on rewritable media. Use standard formats, such as jpg or tiff.  J-peg entries must be either 72 or 96 dpi and sent in 5 per e-mail, with all attched entries to not to exceed one megabyte total, unzipped and uncompressed. Number the j-peg files and list the entries in the body of the e-mail with title, medium and dimensions, Include your full name, and all other information.

ENTRY FEE

Active Artist Member Fee is $35. Senior/Student is $25. Supporting Artist Member Fee is $50. Senior/Student $35. Please pay on-line or make checks payable to the Fulton Street Gallery and enclose with CD or DVD, Entry Form, and resume. 

DELIVERY OF WORK

Artists selected will be expected to deliver their artwork to the Fulton Street Gallery at 408 Fulton Street before or on Sunday, November 23 between the hours of 10 am and noon. Artwork must be suitably framed or mounted (no exposed glass edges) with hanging wire securely attached to the frame. The Fulton Street Gallery reserves the right not to accept any artwork in fragile or unstable condition, or materials, which might damage the gallery’s facilities. Shipped work must arrive by 5 pm on Saturday, November 22, 2008. All work must be labeled on the back or bottom with title, medium, price and artists name.

LIABILITY

The Fulton Street Gallery does not assume responsibility for artwork while in transit or during return. The work will be insured for the duration of the exhibition. Submission of images for judging constitutes an agreement by the artist to the conditions of this prospectus. The Fulton Street Gallery reserves the right to use images of submitted works in the exhibition for use in any catalogue and for publicity. All reasonable care will be exercised in the handling of the works received.

 COMMISSION on Sales AS FOLLOWS

Supporting FSG Member: (no working hours) - 60%/40% (60% payable to the artist)

Active FSG Member: (2 hours per month) - 70%/30% (70% payable to the artist)

Sustaining FSG Member: (2 hours weekly) -  80%/20% (80% payable to the artist)

Visionary FSG Member: (4 hours weekly) - 90%/10% - (90% payable to the artist)

 

REMOVAL OF WORK

For works selected for the A. MEMBERS EXHIBITION, removal dates are: January 6 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm & January 7, 2009 from 10:00am to 2:00 pm. FSG insurance coverage for unclaimed works will end at 5:00pm, January 7, 2008.
