"ogontz warrior"  [origin, defective valve]
 

When water temperatures on a train fall below 40 degrees, sensors open the ogontz valve, which dumps the water beneath the coach preventing it from freezing. One day a defective valve gets replaced and falls into toilet.
 
A group of people going to a Sci Fi convention take the train to N.Y. and back. At the convention's midnight party they drink the spiked punch, to which a mad chemist has added his batch of life force booster, [the glow in the dark variety.] On their return trip they fill the toilet tank with the life force.
 
On the same coach, Tinky Lee goes to the bathroom and into the toilet goes his Super Bowl Ring [this really happened.]
 
Somewhere between Spuyten Duyvil and Riverdale, a gang of kids build a shopping cart pyramid on the tracks. One crushed cart gets caught up under "the" toilet tank and shorts out to the third rail, causing the high voltage blast to start a "stew to brew."
 
When the train reaches it's last stop, Tinky stays on board to retrieve his ring. Instead of dumping the toilet into the treatment plant, the service carmen put a screen over a 55 gallon drum to grab the ring. Once the ring is retrieved the remaining water, along with the defective valve is dumped, set aside, and forgotten.
 
Time passes and one day out of the drum a creature emerges with power over water. As a valve, he once protected freshwater, but now as a hero born of sewage, dirty water is under his control.  If a dump valve on a train toilet goes bad and the cap is missing, he'll keep it from draining out on the tracks and polluting. Freezing pipes don't have to dump water;  he just thaws and adds an anti freeze patch. He can sense trouble around the globe. Tainted water is cleaned by his staff of stones. He comes to the aid of any nation that wants to provide their people with pure, fresh, sparkling water. Even the smallest voice is heard and answered.
